Abstract

The right of access to environmental information is a requirement to reach environmental justice. This institution was created within the international environmental Law, and then it was expanded to the general administrative Law. The reform by Law No. 20.417 to the environmental institutional system included several information systems that will affect the ongoing development of environmental justice. Likewise, environmental justice, based on environmental information, will grow strong both in its distributive and procedural arms, which can be observed in the participation in administrative proceedings as well as in the environmental administrative -litigious actions.
