Abstract
This article consists on a study of the current process of unification of the European private law, founded in the general principles of Law and especially in the principle of good faith. It is looked for to examine the alternatives recommended by the European Parliament and the attraction that had in different commissions of academics. The debate that has arisen about them between partisans and detractors of the measures is based on the conviction of the possibility of a common right and in the greater or minor influence of the Roman law in the diverse juridical solutions contributed by the Civil Law and the Common Law. In the study is carried out a unifier exercise in connection with the conversion of the directive 93/13/ CEE. Finally, possible unifier models of the rules are examined.
