Abstract

This article reviews the accountability content required by political trials from a historical and compared point of view. At the same time, it analyzes the national experience of constitutional accusations filed against presidents of the republic, state ministers, and superior court justices. The reader will find a distinction between accountability based on political factors and accountability grounded in party criteria. The special situation of justices can also be found herein.
