Abstract
The purpose of this article is to determine and analyze the limits to the exercise of potestas variandi within the framework of administrative contracting in Chile. To achieve this, I will start by identifying the elements that make up the material content of the aforementioned power, analyzing each one of them, in order to discuss the limits of potestas variandi in specific cases, which in turn depend upon the way in which such elements contribute to the formation and motivation of the decision to modify administrative contracts. Furthermore, I propose a general perspective of the limits of potestas variandi.
